part 1: sporttesting
JUNE 8TH
On-Ice SPORT-TESTING
Compete against other athletes in the showcase in linear speed, agility, reaction, & transition skating (with & without the puck) using timing gates.
Why’s Test?
-
You don’t know where you’re going if you don’t know where you’ve been. Baseline testing is a great way to measure yourself against others. Every athlete has goals – to be the best on their team, to play for a division 1 college, to play professionally, or even just go from second string to first string.
-
Take Home A Complete On-Ice Player Profile. Collected data offers outstanding insight into an athlete's current form. Identify areas of strength and needs for improvement.
-
Accomplish your goals and develop your career. Put a strategic measurable plan in place for on-ice and off-ice training.
Off-Ice Training - use your data to make sure what you are doing during off-ice training is translating into on-ice performance.
On-Ice Training - keep coaches accountable for your development in areas that need to be continually strengthened and lower the gap of areas to be improved.
-
Comparing measurable data is a wake-up call for athletes and gives trackable goals to hit so dreams can be achieved. Realistically if you want to be a collegiate or professional hockey player, you have to be on par with or better than current collegiate or professional hockey players
Measure your development. Test throughout the year - beginning, middle, and end of the season - to see where you stand.
